Ashish Nehra is a former Indian cricketer who played for the Indian national cricket team from 1999 to 2017. A left-arm fast bowler, Nehra played 17 Test matches, 120 One Day Internationals (ODIs) and 26 T20 Internationals for India.
Throughout his career, he was known for his accurate line and length and was an important member of the Indian cricket team during his time there.

Born on 29 April 1979 in Delhi, India, Nehra started playing cricket at an early age and made his first-class debut in 1999.
He was soon selected by the Indian cricket team and made his international debut in 1999 against Sri Lanka. , Nehra quickly established himself as one of India’s leading fast bowlers and was a key player in the Indian team that reached the final of the 2003 World Cup.

Nehra’s career was plagued by injuries and he had to miss many important matches for India. Despite this, he continued to play for India and was part of the Indian team that won the World T20 tournament in 2007. He was also a part of the Indian team that reached the semi-finals of the 2011 World Cup.

One of the highlights of Nehra’s career was his performance in the 2010 World T20 match against England. He took six wickets in four overs and was awarded the man of the match award for his efforts.
