Axar Patel is a left arm spinner and a useful lower order batsman from Gujarat, India. He made his debut for the Indian cricket team in 2014 and has since established himself as a reliable performer in the domestic circuit.

Akshar Patel was born on 20 January 1994 in Anand, Gujarat. His father, Rajesh Patel, was a small businessman, and his mother, Priti Patel, was a homemaker. Patel was interested in cricket from a young age and started playing at the local level.

Patel made his debut for Gujarat in the 2012–13 season of the Ranji Trophy, India’s premier domestic cricket tournament. In his debut season, he took 19 wickets in 8 matches, including a five-wicket haul against Punjab.

He continued to impress the following season, taking 29 wickets in 8 matches, including two five-wicket hauls.

Patel’s consistent performances in the domestic circuit earned him a place in the Indian squad for the ODI series against Bangladesh in 2014. However, he did not get a chance to play in the series.

Patel’s consistent performances in the domestic circuit and his impressive performance in international cricket earned him an IPL contract with the Mumbai Indians in 2013. However, he did not get a chance to play in the tournament.

In 2020, Patel was bought by the Delhi Capitals, and played a key role in the team’s campaign in the United Arab Emirates.

He took 9 wickets in 8 matches and played a key role in taking the team to the finals. In the final, he took two wickets and was instrumental in Delhi’s victory.

Patel is known for his accuracy and ability to bowl economically. He has a good arm ball and can turn the ball both ways. He is also a useful lower-order batsman and can play useful innings with the bat.
