On Monday night, CSK posted a mammoth score of 226/6 – which is the highest score of IPL 2023 so far. Devon Conway scored 83 for CSK while Shivam Dube scored 52. Ajinkya Rahane and Conway made a quick comeback with a solid partnership for CSK earlier as they ended the powerplay with 53/1.

Dinesh Karthik’s cameo kept Royal Challengers Bangalore in the hunt before the hosts started losing wickets regularly as CSK clawed their way back into the match. Du Plessis and Maxwell were in form in the Powerplay, helping RCB recover from two early setbacks and end with 75/2 in six overs.

RCB are unchanged but CSK have to make a forced change with injured pacer Sisanda Malaga replacing Mathisha Pathirana. One of the most awaited clash of the season was played tonight between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings.

Two legends of Indian cricket, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, will be going head-to-head in the southern derby of IPL 2023. Deepak Chahar and Sisanda Magala are expected to be out for at least two weeks.

Ben Stokes is likely to be fully fit by the end of the month. RCB’s middle-order is yet to unlock its potential, with Glenn Maxwell batting at an impressive strike rate but the likes of Shahbaz Ahmed and Mahipal Lomror could do better.

Dinesh Karthik has underperformed as a finisher and needs to be replaced. Virat Kohli has been in scintillating form, scoring three half-centuries in four matches. Captain Faf du Plessis also landed on the field in form.
