Drishyam2 Movie Review
The shooting of ‘Drishyam 2’, the sequel of the hit film ‘Drishyam’ started in February this year and the film has also reached the theatres. Both the films, originally made in Malayalam, were successful.
‘Drishyam’ was a hit in Hindi as well and now ‘Drishyam 2’ is also on the same path. The real star of the movie ‘Drishyam 2’ is its tight storyline. Though the initial part of the film seems a bit slow in the original film, in its remake director Abhishek Pathak has tightened the film a bit.
The interesting thing is that even after watching ‘Drishyam 2’ made in Malayalam, the eagerness to watch its Hindi remake remains till the end. The climax of the film is the real soul of the film and enjoying it again and again even after knowing it is something like knowing the taste of vanilla ice cream and keeping tempting the mind to eat it again and again.
Where is the dead body buried?
The story of the film ‘Drishyam 2’ begins from where the murder of a police officer’s son has been revealed but his dead body is not found. The father wants to cremate his dead body for the salvation of his son’s soul.
But, Vijay Salgaokar had buried him in such a place from where he cannot be removed even if he wants to. But, the mother has also returned. He has to take revenge not only on Vijay, who studied till class IV, but also on the whole family.
Another IPS officer who studied with him is on his chair. This officer seems to have a sharper mind than Meera. But, the matter is filmy here. Yes, every trick of Vijay Salgaokar comes out of the story of one or the other film and this time the film police are overshadowed by the film’s trick.

Viewers of Hindi cinema, who are bored with half-baked stories based on violence and romance, also like other viewers of world cinema, want to watch movies that make their blood run faster in their veins.
Thriller has been the most successful film genre worldwide in the last decade. The film ‘Drishyam 2’ lives up to this choice of the audience. The soul of the film resides in its story and without tinkering with it too much, Abhishek and Amil have made a great Hindi adaptation.
The duo has stayed away from doing anything stupid like the climax of the Hindi remake of Hit The First Case and the film though is a frame to frame copy of the original but the climax has been constructed and presented by Abhishek.
The characters of the film keep changing their colors and it is only from these changing colors that the rainbow of the film ‘Drishyam 2’ is formed.
Ajay Devgan is the number one
In the cast, this film is entirely of Ajay Devgan. In the film ‘Drishyam 2’, he has also taken the same form as Mohanlal. However, since the matter is of Ajay Devgan, his cinema hall is also a multiplex, not a single theatre. It means to say that Vijay Salgaokar’s aura is richer than Georgekutty.
If you want to act only with your eyes, then at present, there is no other character comparable to Ajay Devgan in Hindi cinema, and this was the real need to play this character in the film ‘Drishyam 2’. Know why Shriya Saran does not use her voice to the full even in normal scenes.
Yes, she fits the bill perfectly for the role of a fit mother of two. Ishita Dutta and Mrinal Jadhav are both grown up now. Nevertheless, according to the story of the sequel, both fit their respective places.
Akshaye Khanna gave strong support
Tabu and Rajat Kapoor’s work in the film ‘Drishyam 2’ is limited. This time Akshaye Khanna has come in front of the camera against Ajay Devgan. Abhishek Pathak has also taken the right decision by taking Akshaye Khanna for this character.
The use of dialogues between junior police personnel for his on-screen entry piques the interest of the audience regarding his character. Akshay’s portrayal of the character through his facial expressions is also excellent. Kamlesh Sawant has once again given pace to the climax of the film.
His Marathi accent adds to the story of the film. Saurabh Shukla has turned screenwriter in the film and through his character helps well in creating the necessary thrill in the film. Neha Joshi has also done commendable work.

Technically also, the film ‘Drishyam 2’ has become a better film than the recent Hindi films. Director Abhishek Pathak seems to be getting the benefit of choosing a good team in the form of his first hit film. Sudhir Chowdhary has seen Goa from a completely different perspective through his camera.
The beauty of Goa seen in some of the climax scenes is unmatched. Sandeep Francis has done a wonderful job of reducing the duration of the Hindi remake by 13 minutes from the original.
The film ‘Drishyam 2’ is the first Hindi film by music composer Devi Sri Prasad (DSP) for which he has given all the songs and background music.
Jubin Nautiyal’s ‘Saath Hum Rahein’ has already become a hit but the real song of the film ‘Drishyam 2’ is the rap song that plays in the end credits. The film is such that it can be really enjoyed with the family.
