T20 WORLD CUP-2 RUN OUT which broke the hearts of crores of Indians

En route to a tough target of 173, it looked like India’s game was definitely lost until their skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (52 off 34) was at the crease. The team required 49 runs in the last six overs.

But it led to the most unfortunate run out on the cricket field, which literally broke the spirit of the team and its fans back in India.

After slog-sweating Georgia Wareham towards the deep mid-wicket fence, it was the easiest of braces to be collected by a batsman on a cricket field.

However, before she was about to complete the second run, her bat got stuck on the pitch in an attempt to pull the bat out of the crease. Alyssa Healy took the wickets to complete the run out, keeping her leg in the air without bat in hand.

Completely fuming, Kaur could do nothing but hurling her bat on the ground and walking into the dressing room with kicks.

Jersey number 7, World Cup semi-final and a run out in the same. , Completely broke Indian cricket fans on social media handles couldn’t stop themselves from comparing Kaur’s run out with MS Dhoni’s run out during the 2019 World Cup semi-final against New Zealand.

Both the above run outs meant that it was curtains for Team India, which ultimately saw them bow out of the World Cup.
