IPL 2023: Big news for Chennai Super Kings (CSK), soon Deepak Chahar will be seen in the field.

IPL 2023:Chennai Super Kings have celebrated the return of Deepak Chahar, who returned to net practice after injuring his hamstring in the team’s third match against Mumbai Indians. The 30-year-old pacer was signed for Rs 14 crore in last year’s IPL mega auction but was ruled out for the entire season due to injury.

This year, he played in the first three matches but has been out of action since the game against MI. However, Chahar has expressed hope that he can return to the field soon by sharing a video on his Instagram account, where he can be seen practicing in the nets. He captioned the post as, “Once again, baby steps #sportsman #life”. Earlier reports suggested that Chahar might make a comeback by early May.

Deepak Chahar has been an integral part of the CSK setup over the years and is known for his useful bowling with the new ball. Apart from this, he is also skilful with the bat and can score runs quickly. CSK are currently sitting at No.3 on the IPL 2023 Points Table and are going to play against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday (April 21). However, Chahar is likely to be unavailable for this match.

Apart from Deepak Chahar, CSK (Chennai Super Kings) are struggling with injuries to other key players. Star English all-rounder Ben Stokes is out of action with a heel injury and has not played since the team’s second match. Apart from this, South African pacer Sisanda Magala has also been out of action for a few weeks.

Returning to training in the nets is good news for Chennai Super Kings and his return to the field will likely boost the team’s chances of winning the tournament. However, with other players like Ben Stokes and Sisanda Magala being ruled out, the team will have to manage their resources carefully to retain their position on the points table.
